Jason Scheier is a Visual Development Artist and Concept designer who graduated from the Art Institute of California, Orange County, where he received a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Animation. After graduating he continued his education taking night classes at Art Center College of Design while carrying a full-time job working in the Medical Field. In addition, Jason also studied Fine Art and Illustration at Cal State Fullerton. Shortly after graduation Jason began working as the Lead Concept Artist for a new virtual reality company designing intricate architectural visions for the future. Jason?s client list includes Anonymous Content, Saab Vehicles, Honda Automotive, General Electric, NBC Universal, Treasure Island, MGM Grand, The Weather Channel, and American Cancer Society. Just after a year of freelancing, he landed his first job with Double Helix Games as Concept Artist working on two unannounced titles. After a few months of working in Games, Jason was hired by DreamWorks Feature Animation as a Visual Development Artist. He recently finished working as a Background Painter for a Special Feature on the Kung Fu Panda DVD, and is now currently working on an unannounced film set to release in 2010. His design work features strong use of evocative environments and mood, as well as a solid understanding of dimensional forms. Clients have recommended Jason for his close attention to Detail, Design Narratives, Sense of Engineering, Surface Rendering, and Knowledge of Architecture. His understanding of limitations within Game Engines and Technical know-how for Feature Film Animation, help Jason create worlds that are both believable and achievable in the virtual space.
