EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

Completed a twenty seven year career with IBM, starting as a Systems Engineer in Los Angeles

Managed the Customer Briefing Center in Orange County which hosted 30,000 visitors a year

Managed the technical marketing employees in Orange County; revenues exceeded $100 million annually

Managed the engineering and manufacturing specialists supporting Southern California automotive and aerospace companies

Managed Community Relations and Communications for Orange County



COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP ACTIVITIES

Participated in UCI Corporate Partners Program, Executive Committee

Became a founding board member of Working Wardrobes which provides survivors of a life crisis with tools and services to reenter the workforce

Received two Outstanding Board Member awards for service on the Irvine Valley College Foundation board

Received the Untied Way Helping Hands Award for work on the annual campaign
Served on the board of AWED (American Women’s Economic Development), which provided training for unemployed women wanting to start a small business

Served on the executive committee of the North Laguna Community Association.

Joined the Leadership Tomorrow board for a second time. Revamped the newsletter, Co-chaired the Awards event twice.

Served on the Laguna Beach Alliance for the Arts executive committee which promotes the arts with local government, the city’s residents and visitors. Was honored by receiving their Art Stars Achievement Award for 2008.

Led a year long study of the economic benefit of the non-profit arts industry. The study showed $54,000,000 of annual arts related spending by visitors and residents in Laguna Beach.

Served nine years on the City of Laguna Beach Arts Commission, two terms as Chair. During this time the commission installed more than 30 pieces of public art throughout the city, valued at more than $1,500,000.

Became a founding board member of the Laguna beach Sister City Association, serving on the Executive Committee.
